BEST SEED QUALITY

HIGH SEED QUALITY

THANKS TO GENTLE THRESHING
The seed quality is maximized with Axial‑Flow’s gentle threshing

Threshing with the rotary design gives a gentler threshing than with the conventional threshing drum, because the seeds are pushed not beaten out of straw and ear. This results in less broken seeds and less hulled seeds which in the end means a higher price for your crop. At the harvest 2017 the Danish Farmers association VKST did a practical test on malting barley with different threshing systems. The conclusion was obvious:

  • The rotary machines were the most gentle when harvesting malting barley
  • Less hulled seeds with Axial‑Flow
  • Less broken seeds with Axial‑Flow

SEEDS AND
Axial‑Flow®

are ”the perfect match”

The gentle threshing with the rotary design not only gives the best seed quality in cereal crops, it also gives the best seed results.

  • No other combine harvester offers the same seed yield as Axial‑Flow
  • Gentle threshing with minimal tailing and high capacity for sprouting, are the characteristics of seeds harvested with Axial‑Flow
  • Easy cleaning of the machine makes exchange between crops fast and safe
  • Grain tank with seed auger makes it safe and easy to empty the seed container

OUR CUSTOMERS’ OWN NUMBERS

LOW OPERATIONAL COSTS

and easy daily maintenance

At the busiest time of the year you need to be in the field and harvesting while the sun is shining, not doing maintenance on your combine. In order to be in the field early its crucial that maintenance of the combine is fast and easy to do. The simple construction of the Axial‑Flow has less parts exposed to wear, belts, and places to grease that needs to be checked and greased every day.

Less parts exposed to wear, belts, and moving parts in general lower the operational cost of Axial‑Flow compared to other threshing systems, and also compared to other rotary combines. This is shown by numbers from VKST Maskinbase where members voluntarily report the operational costs of their machines. The numbers from 2017 show that harvesting one hectare with Axial‑Flow costs 109 DDK on average. This is considerably lower compared to other rotary machines in the Maskinbasen, and lower than other combine brands in the database.

ADVANCED

in all its simplicity

40 years Rotary Leadership since 1977, and the launching of our first rotary combine. Case IH has constantly invested in harvesting technology, and has systematically been a step ahead of our competitors. By introducing the rotary design we showed how simple the advanced harvesting technology could be, and we improved the threshing and the seed quality with less moving components.

The Axial‑Flow of 2019 is the proud descendant of the ground-breaking 1400 Series, and because we have been busy in the meantime with developments and improvements today the machines are delivered with a rotor that is specially developed for the Middle East and African region conditions with larger amounts of straw.

A CONSTANT CONCEPT
INTUITIVE CONTROLS

PLEASANT COMFORT

for long harvesting days
– hop in and drive

The combine should be able to endure long days of harvesting – but so should the operator. Comfort in the cabin is the key to keep a high productivity during the long days of harvesting.

There is a lot to point out in our cabin, 6,3 m2 glass and a low noise level is only the start. Our engineers have developed one of the most silent, spacious and comfortable cabins on the market, designed for the long days in the field during harvest. If you choose the semi-active seat with air suspension, and the integrated control panel working doesn’t get more pleasant. The intuitive Case IH operation makes it easy to start harvesting when the weather allows it, and you cannot afford to spend precious time with complicated manuals. As soon as you choose a control, the AFS Pro 700 touchscreen shows the relevant menu at once. The AFS live messaging function allows you to share experiences with other operators in real time.

AFS HARVEST COMMANDTM

NEWEST TECHNOLOGY

that makes harvesting easy and effective

At Case IH AFS Advanced Farming System is what we call our different highly technological and digital solutions like f.ex. the AFS AccuGuide auto steering. With the AFS AccuGuide system which is fully integrated in Axial‑Flow, and the reference signal from our AFS RTK+ network you can achieve an accuracy of 2,5 cm – time after time, and year after year. With AFS Connect you can monitor all your machines to see where they are, and what they are doing. On Axial‑Flow this gives the works manager a super tool to plan and control the harvesting effort.

AFS Harvest CommandTM is an automation of the settings on the Axial‑Flow 250 Series combine harvester. Automation of the machine’s settings consider several parameters depending on the operator’s choices, and what the machine should prioritize:

  • Max. capacity
  • Min. waste
  • Max. seed quality
  • Constant flow

The automation system helps the driver, and keeps constant focus to achieve the optimal setting even with small changes like slopes, ending of the cutter or changed condition f.ex. in a depression – it means that even the most experienced operator can profit from the system.
